Final Proposal

Aim:  To create an alcohol based game which measures how drunk a person is and the limits they would go to whilst drunk. It is to be in a room in a pub.

Message: Alcohol can be fun but what is the limit you would go to when drunk? How easy is it for you to lose your inhibitions whilst under the influence. People lose there inhibitions when drunk but when they look back do they regret the things they do?

There will be 4 different videos context wise however each video will be in different colour contrasts and luminosity this will show the varying levels of drunkenness.
Im am going to use different body parts to show the different levels as when a person is drinking these parts of the body are affected greatly: Eyes, Mouth, Hands, Feet.

I will use these certain body parts because when you are drunk they are affected and movement changes i am going to exaggerate these movements and changes depending on the level of drunkenness.

There is a special room in a bar that contains a breathalyzer, people go into the room and breath into the breathalyzer and depending on how drunk the person is a video is omitted of different bodily movements to do with the eyes, hands, feet and mouth.The type of video they receive depends on the level of drunkenness, a person who is sober will have a video which is flowing movement and effortless to create a controlled motion of environment, but a person who is very drunk will have awkward strange movements which are random and all over the place to show how out of control people are when very drunk.

Aim: To create an alcohol based environment which measures different peoples drunkenness and then omits a video for each persons level of drunkenness.

Message: Alcohol can be enjoyable for some people, however everyone has different experiences, due to there intake.


Tone: mixed tone depending on level of drunkenness.


There is a special room in a bar/nightclub that contains a breathalyzer, people go into the rom and breath into the breathalyzer and depending on how drunk the person is controls the experimental video which is omitted, very drunk person = a dis-orientated video blurry, jumpy, loud, but also quiet, screeching but also claming this shows how out of control a person is when they are drunk. 

3rd idea

There is a breathalyzer in a bar/club and people have the option to breath into it and then a video/lighting/music will play according to the drunkeness of the person.

The abuse of alcohol in ireland 2nd idea

To show how alcohol can control video. Therefor show it controls a erson not the person controlling it.
The strength of alcohol controls the experience in which the person has (video-wise)

eg/ vodka = messy, disorientated, flashes, fire loud music

beer = enjoyable, calming, relaxing, mellow music

Alcohol can be enjoyable and safe when you choose it to be!!!

1st idea

To inform people on the effects of alcohol abuse on a persons life.

--Life cannot be rewinded, life support machine noise, (symbol). then rewinding on a persons life, to show in a video you can rewind your life but the real deal is not as easy and all decisions a person makes effect the life they lead.

Alcohol and society

The use of alcohol by society.

            In my opiniom there are many reasons as to why alcohol is consumed by a wide range of people today in Ireland. A big reason is because most if not all towns, villages and citys located in Ireland have atleast one pub if not many pubs/bars, these act as social meeting places and provide somewhere to go for the people.

            Also alcohol is an outlet for some people, as alot of people find it hard to maybe relax and be themself, so they might go to the pub and have a few drinks and be able to talk more and have fun, socialise.           

            However, alcohol can also be abused and misused if too much is consumed, this leads to people getting sick not being able to talk and sometimes having a very dangerous bad time.

            Alcohol has a variety of effects on people and all people can handle different amounts. Not every abuses it but not everyone is in control with it, in fact alot of people drink to become out of control and lose inhibitions which can be a good and bad response.
